Opened in 2019, Joshua Home is a boarding house for girls in Liyai, Manipur, India, offering a safe place to live while attending Loyola School. The Ursuline Franciscan Sisters, in partnership with the Jesuits of Kohima, care for and guide the girls. For many students from remote communities, education would otherwise be out of reach due to poverty, distance, and the lack of nearby schools. At Joshua Home, they receive accommodation, nutritious meals, and the support they need to focus on their studies. Some girls come from significant hardship, including the loss of a parent.
