Railaco Timor- Leste

By John-Paul Redmond

I'm fundraising ...

Dear Friends,

I am doing dry July to raise much needed funds to cover the tuition fees for an aspiring student from a poor rural background at the Jesuit school, Nossa Senhora de Fatima (NOSSEF) in Railaco, Timor-Leste..

20 years ago the plight of the impoverished Timorese people was pitiful.

Australia was given a mandate to lead the INTERFET multinational task force to restore peace and security in East Timor.

St. Canice’s Church, Rushcutters Bay, NSW organised a task force and travelled to Railaco to offer hope to the now impoverished people.

The money raised will help educate a child at the Jesuit parish secondary school in Railaco. All 123 students in the graduating class of 2022 passed the national exams. 60% were girls!

All donations are tax deductible. Thank you for your kind and considerate generosity.
