MYANMAR IS AT WAR.
THE PEOPLE NEED OUR URGENT HELP.

Walk in the footsteps of St Ignatius in solidarity with our sisters and brothers facing unprecedented crisis in Myanmar.

St Ignatius described the ideal leader as living with "One Foot Raised" ready to step forward and respond to human need and suffering in the world. Right now, that response is desperately needed.

Since the military coup on 1 February 2021, Myanmar has become a disaster zone. Our brothers and sisters have endured escalating violence, natural disasters, and the displacement of over 3.5 million people. A devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake has now rocked the country – flattening towns, killing over 3,000 people, and leaving thousands more injured or missing.

Over 19.9 million people, many of them children, are in desperate need of emergency assistance. Humanitarian access, which was already restricted in many areas, has deteriorated even further due to damaged infrastructure and ongoing conflict.
